LCL

LCL to Tehran Customs: three costly mistakes

LCL on this line is consolidation from 1 CBM or 100 kg, loaded on the weekly Tuesday and Friday schedule. Three mistakes cost the most.

Mistake 1: underdeclaring volume and weight

You are billed on the greater of the actual and the volumetric weight. Rounding down invites a reweigh charge and can bump you off the trailer.

Mistake 2: a vague cargo description

“Assorted goods” holds the whole consolidated trailer, not just your pallet. State the item and the HS code.

Mistake 3: hiding battery or hazardous content

Undeclared lithium is offloaded at Khorgos and the rest of the trailer waits. Declare UN 3480/3481 up front with the MSDS.

No published rates. To get a quote, send three things: the origin hub; the destination customs (Tehran West Customs / Aprin / Mashhad); and the cargo data — HS code, gross weight in kg, volume in CBM.

FAQ

What is the LCL minimum?

One cubic metre (CBM) or 100 kg, at the Yiwu and Shenzhen (Pinghu) facilities, on the weekly Tuesday and Friday consolidation to Tehran Customs.

How often does LCL depart?

Twice a week — Tuesday and Friday — from the Yiwu and Shenzhen facilities.

Can lithium batteries go LCL?

Small compliant quantities can, with the MSDS and UN packaging, declared in the first line. Larger battery loads go FTL.

Why was my LCL cargo held at the border?

Usually a vague cargo description or a document mismatch, which holds the whole consolidated trailer.
