BROKER
Choosing your Iran customs broker
The truck delivers into the bonded warehouse at Tehran West Customs and hands over the warehouse entry receipt (Ghabz-e Anbar). Your licensed broker takes it from there — clears in the ASYCUDA system and pays import duty. We do not do Iran clearance. The wrong broker leaves cargo sitting in the warehouse.
- Delivery is to the customs bonded warehouse (Tehran West Customs / Shahriyar / Aprin / Mashhad)
- The broker must be licensed and able to act at that specific customs
- The broker clears against the Ghabz-e Anbar in ASYCUDA and pays import duty
- Appoint the broker before the truck arrives
- Clearance cost is separate from freight; we do not quote the broker's fee
First: can they act at that customs
Confirm the broker is licensed for the customs your cargo is delivered to. A Tehran West Customs broker is not automatically able to release cargo at Mashhad.
Second: do they know your goods
They should say how they declare your HS categories, what documents they need, and who attends inspection. A broker who only takes a “clearance fee” and does not touch HS codes or the warehouse is a middleman.
Third: costs itemised, test with one shipment
Duty, storage, demurrage, inspection — itemised, not a lump sum. We do not quote the broker's fee. Run one small shipment first.
No published rates. To get a quote, send three things: the origin hub; the destination customs (Tehran West Customs / Aprin / Mashhad); and the cargo data — HS code, gross weight in kg, volume in CBM.
FAQ
Do you clear customs in Iran?
No. We deliver into the Tehran customs bonded warehouse and hand over the Ghabz-e Anbar; clearance is the consignee's licensed broker.
When should I appoint the broker?
Before the truck arrives. Once the cargo is in and the Ghabz-e Anbar is issued, it must go straight to the broker.
What is the Ghabz-e Anbar?
The warehouse entry receipt issued when the cargo reaches the Tehran customs bonded warehouse. The consignee's broker clears against it in ASYCUDA.
Is clearance included in the freight?
No. The rate is to Tehran Customs on CPT / DAP terms; ask the broker for the clearance fee.
