What the Bukhara transload means on a Wuqia direct truck
On chinairantrucks, “direct truck” does not mean the trailer is never opened. The Wuqia direct routing is Wuqia → Bukhara (one transload) → Iran. Direct or transshipment sets out the two movements; this page is that one stop at Bukhara.
- Direct = one transload at Bukhara, not an unbroken seal to the buyer’s warehouse

Direct means one stop, not zero
If you hear “direct”, count Bukhara. The load leaves one tractor unit and goes onto the next. A transshipment truck transloads at Osh and again at Bukhara, or at the Iranian border. Fewer transloads is not zero transloads.
What TIR does at Bukhara
TIR is a customs seal at origin plus one carnet. That means fewer opens in the transit countries. It does not cancel the Bukhara transload, and it does not change transit time or the freight rate.
Where the truck hands over after Bukhara
Sellable destinations are Mashhad Customs and Tehran West Customs (Gomrok Gharb / Aprin). Entry is via Sarakhs. Iran clearance is the buyer’s broker’s job. Terms are CPT / DAP, hub to destination customs. Not door-to-door, not DDP. The unit is a curtainsider / tilt trailer, not a container.
Days start at the Wuqia crossing
Not from Yiwu or Shenzhen. Direct trucks currently run 21–23 days to Tehran and 18–21 days to Mashhad. That is the line as it is running now, not a guarantee. The China hub-to-Wuqia leg is stated separately, typically within about 7 days — an estimate, not added into a single headline figure. No Khorgos day count.

FAQ
Does direct mean zero transload?
No. Wuqia → Bukhara (one transload) → Iran.
Does TIR keep the seal closed at Bukhara?
It reduces opens. It does not eliminate them. TIR does not change transit time or the freight rate.
Door delivery?
No. Destination customs yard only. CPT / DAP. Not DDP. The buyer clears in Iran.
